May 11th: Lab Time!

Today was a gathering at the Archaeology Lab at Capilano University. The whole crew met for a 2 hour discussion (as we will every Friday) about who's in charge of which projects for the site (mine is this blog!). For a more in depth summary of task designation, see the "About the Students" link on the sidebar. Bob went over some of the basic guidelines on excavation processes and tools that the crew would need to have ready for Monday. I got my trowel, line level, tape measure and a set of gloves....I feel prepared to take on the dirt. Starting next week we will be surveying the site, grid mapping and setting excavation units.
